Hero MotoCorp is going to increase the prices of its vehicles once again. The company has informed about increasing the price of its vehicles by Rs 1,500 from December 1. The company has cited rising input cost as the reason for the price hike.
Hero MotoCorp said that to reduce the burden of increased cost, the company will continue to offer attractive finance options. The brand currently retails Pleasure+ XTEC, Destini 125 XTEC, Maestro Edge 125, and Maestro Edge 110 in the scooter segment.
In the motorcycle segment, the company is selling in three segments. The first one is the performance segment which includes bikes like Xtreme 160R, Xtreme 200S, XPulse 200 4V and XPulse 200T.
And the executive segment includes bikes like Glamor Xtec, Passion Xtec, Super Splendor, Glamour, Glamor Canvas and Passion Pro. In the entry-level practical segment, the company is selling bikes like Splendor+, Splendor+ Xtec, HF Delux and HF100.
Last month, the company launched its first electric scooter under the Electric Vehicle (EV) brand Vida. Vida Electric Scooter has been brought in two variants – Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro. Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro have been priced at Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
The entry-level V1 Plus packs a 3.34 kWh lithium-ion battery, while the V1 Pro gets a slightly bigger 3.94 kWh battery. Both the scooters have a removable battery which can be charged even after removing it from the scooter. The top speed of both the scooters is 80 km/h. Vida V1 e-scooter competes with Ola S1, Ather 450X and TVS iQube.
