Breaking Jio’s monopoly? With 9 lakh customers leaving, this company has benefited

New Delhi: Telecom companies had hiked the prices of their prepaid plans a few months back. However, the blow is now falling on the companies. The biggest losers are Reliance Jio Millions of customers have left the company. By Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAIAccording to the report, Geo lost 9.3 million users (93,32,583) in January 2022. So, Vodafone Idea (Vi) And BSNL Has 3,89,081 (0.39 million) and 3,77,520 (0.37 million) subscribers respectively. Of all the companies, only Bharti Airtel has added new customers. In January 2022, a total of 71,4,199 subscribers joined Airtel.

9.53 million MNP requests in January 2022

According to TRAI, a total of 9.53 lakh million mobile number portability (MNP) requests were made in January 2022. Of this, 5.49 million requests came from Zone 1, while the remaining 4.04 million requests came from Zone-2. The highest request for MNP in Zone-1 was from Maharashtra (55.53 million). It is followed by Uttar Pradesh-East (50.81 million). Zone 2 has so far received the highest number of MNMP requests from Karnataka (52.19 million). Andhra Pradesh is in second place with 50.55 million.

In January 2022, Jio added the most wireless subscribers

According to TRAI, Reliance Jio had the highest number of wireline subscribers connected in January. Jio added a total of 3,08,340 (0.30 million) new wireline subscribers. This was followed by 94,010, 32,098 and 16,749 new subscribers to Indian Airtel, BSNL and Quandrat respectively. MTNL and Vodafone Idea have lost wireline subscribers. Millions of JioFiber broadband subscribers were added to Jio. Airtel ranks second in this list. Both the telecom companies have overtaken BSNL.
