Toyota Glanza: According to media reports, now the unofficial booking of 2022 Toyota Glanza CNG has started. Some dealerships have started taking its bookings at their level. This will be Toyota’s first CNG model in the country.
Toyota Glanza CNG Booking: Toyota India is preparing to introduce the CNG version of the Glanza in the country. Earlier, Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG was recently launched in India. Both these cars share mechanicals and features with each other. According to media reports, now the unofficial booking of 2022 Toyota Glanza CNG has started. Some dealerships have started taking its bookings at their level. This will be Toyota’s first CNG model in the country.
Maruti Suzuki calls its CNG cars S-CNG. At the same time, it can be called an e-CNG model from Toyota. The Toyota Glanza will be the first CNG-powered car from the Japanese carmaker in India. A few weeks ago, the specifications and variants of the upcoming Toyota Glanza CNG were also leaked, according to which it will get a 1.2-litre K-series dual jet, dual VVT petrol engine with a start/stop system.
According to the leaked information, this engine will generate 88.5 bhp power on petrol and 77 bhp power on CNG. The engine will only come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and can give a mileage of around 30 km/kg of CNG. The Toyota Glanza CNG can be offered in three variants – S, G and V.
It is expected that the company will soon reveal the prices of the CNG version of this premium hatchback. Currently, the petrol variant of the Toyota Glanza is priced between Rs 6.59 lakh to Rs 9.99, ex-showroom. It competes with cars like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20. The price of its CNG variant can be 50 to 70 thousand rupees more than the petrol variant.
