The carmaker claims that the Black Badge is going to work to attract young customers. The company has made many major changes in the new Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge. The biggest change in this has been done in its hood.
Where the company uses a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine in the standard model of this car. This engine provides 600 bhp power and 900 newton meter torque. Powered by the Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge, the same engine produces 29 Bhp more power and 50 Nm more torque than the standard model.
Its ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox has also now been tweaked to adjust to ‘Low’ mode, which accelerates the gearshift by up to 50 per cent. Not only this, the exhaust has been reworked to create a throat note in this car.
In addition, the carmaker has fitted the suspension with more voluminous air springs to reduce body roll while working the corners. Please note that this car comes with an all-wheel drive system. Along with this, the four-wheel steering has also been tweaked to provide more handling prowess.
Considering a performance upgrade, the Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge comes with a bespoke black body shade and blacked-out inserts on the grille as well as the spirit of ecstasy. The 21-inch wheels of this sedan are covered with 22 layers of carbon.
While the ‘Shooting Star’ headliner is already available in the market, the cabin comes with black inserts on the veneer and fabric and comes with a very unique interior clock. It also gets a different LED emulated dashboard design, in which the ‘Ghost’ lettering has been replaced by the ‘Black Badge’ infinity logo.
The second-gen Rolls Royce Ghost on sale in the Indian market is priced at Rs.6.95 crore (ex-showroom). At the same time, its extended wheelbase variant costs Rs 7.95 crore (ex-showroom). In such a situation, it is believed that the price of Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge is going to be higher than the standard model.
