German automobile manufacturer BMW is famous worldwide for its luxury vehicles. This is why the brand launches new products regularly. In this series, the company has now launched its brand new S 1000 XR.
Key Updates in the New Model
The new S 1000 XR model will replace the old model launched in 2020. The company has introduced several updates in this new bike. The ex-showroom price in India is Rs 22.50 lakh, which is Rs 40,000 more than the older model.
Powerful Motor and Performance
The motor of the new S 1000 XR is the same as the old S 1000 RR. The company claims it has redesigned the in-line 4-cylinder unit. This engine now generates 170 hp at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 9,250 rpm. The brand also claims that the S 1000 XR can reach a speed of 0-100 km/h in 3.25 seconds. The bike can achieve a top speed of 253 km/h.
Updated Design
The company has made some design changes in the new model. The black beak fender has been replaced with a body-colored fender. The rear section now has new side panels and air intakes. The bike’s seat has been completely redesigned to improve track riding and touring. The seat height is now 850 mm and can be lowered if needed.
Additional Equipment
The new S 1000 XR offers additional equipment depending on the package chosen (Touring, Dynamics, or M). The Touring and Dynamics packages are standard on the bike. The Touring Package includes:
- Luggage carrier
- Center stand
- Slot for a navigation device
- Hand protection
- Tyre-pressure monitoring system
- Heated grips

- Shift Assistant Pro
- Cruise Control
