Mumbai: Premium two-wheeler manufacturer BMW Motorrad launched the CE 02 electric scooter last year. It is available for sale in the US and British markets. Now according to the information revealed, the company will launch BMW CE 02 in India this year. Based on the CE 04, the scooter has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. The BMW CE 02 has no floorboard section like other scooters and gets bike-like foot pegs. It has square LED headlamps with DRL, slim side profile, high handlebar, single-piece seat, split-type pillar grab rail and floating-type rear fender with LED tail lamp. Apart from this, this two-wheeler also has a 3.5-inch TFT instrument console and 14-inch alloy wheels. For suspension, telescopic forks are available at the front and a side-mounted monoshock unit at the rear.
CE 02 has a battery pack of 2kWh capacity, which generates power of 15hp. It will give a range of 90 kilometers on a single charge and the top speed is 95 km/hour. Braking is facilitated by disc brakes at both ends along with single-channel ABS. Apart from this, ESC, RSC, Regenerative Braking System and 3 riding modes – Surf, Flow and Flash are provided. The price of this scooter is likely to be more than Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
