Journalist and industry analyst Mark Gurman has published a new forecast on Apple’s plans to update a series of branded PCs and laptops. According to him, in 2022 one of the most global upgrades of the Mac family in the last few years will take place.
Gurman claims that Apple is preparing to introduce seven new computers at once. In particular, he predicts the release of two different versions of the Mac mini based on the M1 Pro and M2 processors, respectively. In addition, the American company can update the MacBook Pro laptop, also equipping it with an Apple M2 chip.
The upgrade, according to the journalist, is also waiting for the 24-inch iMac monoblock, which Apple, like the new MacBook Air ultrabook, will equip with the M2 ARM platform. Finally, the update will presumably affect the iMac Pro family of professional desktop computers. It is expected that the line will be replenished with two desktops with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors. At the same time, they will be equipped with several CPUs at once, like server devices.
Apple itself did not comment on the analyst’s publication, according to tradition.
