Mining center operator BitRiver has entered into a partnership with JSC Development Corporation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and LLC Yakutsk Electric Grid Company to build a data center in the Mirninsky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The goal of the project is energy-intensive and blockchain computing. The deal was concluded during the Eastern Economic Forum.
The project will support the development of a high-tech labor market in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), help develop the digital economy, and become an additional source of tax revenue for the state budget of the region.
The main incentives for the digitalization of natural resources in the Far East are a rich resource base, territories with a free customs zone regime and tax incentives within the framework of regional investment projects.
BitRiver also cooperates with the Republic of Buryatia, where the company is building several enterprises. One of them is a data center with a capacity of 100 MW in the village of Mukhorshibir.
BitRiver is the largest operator of data processing centers (DPCs) in Eurasia, providing services for the placement and connection of equipment to the energy and information infrastructure, as well as offering turnkey solutions for energy-intensive computing, industrial mining, blockchain operations and artificial intelligence.
