Big News: UIDAI Cancels Aadhaar Card of 6 Lakhs Just for ‘This’ Reason, Know Details

New Delhi: Duplicate aadhaar id in india : Aadhaar card is one of the most essential documents for every citizen in India. Aadhaar card is being asked for any service. Be it government work or private work. Without Aadhaar Card it is not possible. However, many cases of fake Aadhaar cards are coming to the fore. UIDAI, the organization that makes Aadhaar card, has taken serious notice of this. The process of canceling fake Aadhaar card by identifying Aadhaar card has been initiated. According to a report, UIDAI has so far canceled 6 lakh 98 thousand 999 i.e. nearly 6 lakh fake Aadhaar cards.

Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar has informed the Lok Sabha that fake Aadhaar cards have been cancelled. He said that major steps have been taken by UIDAI to banish fake Aadhaar cards from the market. Extra verification feature has been added to Aadhaar card. In which face i.e. face based verification will soon be used. Till now Aadhaar verification was done only with the help of fingerprint and iris.

Responding to another question about illegal websites that offer Aadhaar related services, Chandrasekhar said that UIDAI has sent notices to these websites. He said that the UIDAI has asked the owners of the concerned websites to stop providing any kind of service. A notice has been given to them for this. Also asked to block these websites. Notices have also been given to them.

11 fake Aadhaar websites banned
Since January 2022, 11 websites have been blocked from providing such services. These websites do not have authority to nominate resident and change biometric information or add mobile number. Users will have to visit the official Aadhaar centers along with the official website of UIDAI to require all the details from updating the mobile number to changing the address and photo.
