Using the power of Clause (3) of Article 77, President Draupadi Murmu has brought eSports under the purview of the rules. In this, emphasis has been laid on bringing e-sports under the purview of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Ministry of Sports.

India has won the bronze medal by defeating New Zealand in the first Commonwealth e-Sports Championship held in Birmingham.
