The Belarusian airline Belavia is interested in purchasing Russian Superjet aircraft. This was announced by Deputy General Director for Marketing and Foreign Economic Activity of Belavia Vladimir Barkun.
“Hypothetically – yes, of course [интерес к Superjet есть]”, – he answered the question of journalists about the interest in Russian aircraft. At the same time, he added that it is too early to talk about the timing of the purchase of Superjet aircraft, since there is currently a shortage of Superjet aircraft in Russia.
“They fly, they are, but in fact there are no planes available for order now, because there is a big shortage in the Russian Federation itself. Therefore, it is not necessary to say that in the next couple of years we will actually be able to purchase these aircraft. ”– added a top manager.
Regarding the MS-21 or Tu-204 aircraft, Barkun noted that at the moment the airline is not considering purchasing them. “You must understand that the start of operation of a new type is a very large preparatory work, both from the point of view of the flight crew, technical. That is, in fact, all these are very distant prospects. ”he concluded.
