President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced plans to create, together with Russia, a satellite constellation in space, including for military purposes.
“Russia and I have agreed to create a joint constellation in space – spacecraft. It’s not just for military purposes. Russia is huge. And we were able to wedge ourselves into this program and, together with the Russians, we are creating this constellation of satellites“, – he said, talking with representatives of the labor collective of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation.
Lukashenka noted that Belarus has a satellite “which, from a height of 500-600 km, views an object 35 cm“. “That’s why we’re making huge strides here.“, Lukashenka said.
