More than 4 lakh accidents registered
Quoting the ‘Road Accidents in India-2021’ of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in media reports, it has been said that in 2021, a total of 4.12 lakh road accident cases were registered. Out of this, more than 1.58 lakh cases are of road accidents only between 3 pm to 9 pm.

So many accidents happened between 6 pm to 9 pm
According to these figures, in 2021, the maximum number of road accidents were registered between 6 pm and 9 pm. 21 percent of the total accidents happened during this period. This pattern has remained like this continuously for the last 5 years. After this, about 18 percent accidents have happened between 3 to 6 o’clock.
Most accidents in Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh
In terms of road accidents between 6 pm and 9 pm, the maximum number of accidents in the country were registered in Tamil Nadu in 2021. This number is 14,416. At the same time, Madhya Pradesh is at number two with 10,332 accidents.
Although experts give another reason for this, the time from 3 pm to 9 pm is generally the peak hour. Therefore, the chances of accidents increase during this time. Whereas between 12 o’clock in the night and 6 o’clock in the morning, small vehicles are less on the roads than expected, while at this time only trucks etc. are on the roads.
