Bajaj registers Darkstar name, may soon bring new bikes of Pulsar range

Adventure bikes are increasing in popularity in the country and city dwellers are also leaning towards adventure bikes due to various reasons like bad roads. These adventure bikes are tall but do not come with off-road equipment. In such a situation, there is a lot of demand for such bikes in the country’s popular 250 cc segment.

It is now believed that Bajaj has registered the Darkstar for its upcoming adventure bike. The company’s upcoming adventure bike can be built on the 250 cc platform on which the Pulsar has been built. Looking at the increasing demand, it can be said that Bajaj would not want to miss such an opportunity. Till now the company had brought only one adventure bike which has also been discontinued.

Bajaj had brought a bike by the name of Adventure named AS200 but now it has been discontinued. After that the company has not yet ventured into the adventure segment. Now looking at the changing trend of the market, the company is going to re-enter this segment and for this what can be better than the Pulsar range, due to which the new bike is also being speculated to be based on the Pulsar 250 cc platform. Huh.

Currently, the Hero Xplus range is creating a huge buzz in the adventure segment and is being loved by the customers. At the same time, Honda is also selling bikes like CB200X in this segment. Now Bajaj also wants to hold its own in this segment, due to which it is preparing a new bike. Most of its parts can be taken from the Pulsar F250.

Currently, the Pulsar 250 model offers 24.5 bhp of power and 21.5 Nm of torque. It has been given a 5-speed gearbox. This bike has a slipper clutch and dual channel ABS, which can also be seen in Bajaj’s upcoming adventure bike. So far the company has not confirmed any information.

Talking about the Pulsar range of Bajaj, the Pulsar 180 series has been discontinued in August this year. The reason for the discontinuation could be lack of demand and the need to make way for the new-generation Bajaj Pulsar model. The Bajaj Pulsar 180 was reintroduced in February 2021, soon after the 180 cc F model of the Pulsar 220F was dropped from the company’s portfolio.

Bajaj Auto has been known to enter the new segment right from the beginning and now the company wants to try its hand in the adventure segment as well. However, the company should bring this bike as soon as possible so that the customer gets more options in this segment apart from Hero and Honda models.
