New Delhi : telecom company Vodafone-Idea (We) Is bad news for users. The loss-making company may once again raise the price of its plans this year. According to a senior company official, the rates could be revised again this year. However, it will depend on the tariff hike and market reaction in November last year.
Ravinder Takkar, MD and CEO of Vodafone-Idea, says that the company has fixed the price of the cheapest plan at Rs 99, which is valid for about a month. G, not too expensive for users using 4G services. Tucker added that plans could be expensive once again this year.
Losses of Company Subscribers:
Vodafone- Idea lags behind Airtel and Jio in terms of number of subscribers. Vodafone-Idea’s subscriber base has shrunk from 26.98 crore to 24.72 crore in one year after the plans became more expensive. Despite the price hike, the company’s ARPU, or average revenue per user, fell by 5 per cent to Rs 115 from Rs 121 in the same quarter of 2020-21.
Persistent losses of the company in business:
Vodafone-Idea’s huge losses are not going away. Last week, the company reported a net loss of Rs 7,230.9 crore for the third quarter ended December 2021, up from Rs 4,532.1 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
