MP News: A councilor was expelled from BJP for attacking and vandalizing the house of his own party leader in Indore. The party has expelled councilor Jitendra alias Jitu Yadav for 6 years.
Party’s state general secretary Bhagwandas Sabnani said in a letter to Indore district unit president Gaurav Ranadive, “Jitendra Kumar (Jitu Yadav), councilor of ward number 24 of Indore Municipal Corporation, had a dispute with a councilor of his own party. The subsequent indecent actions have tarnished the image of the party, which comes under the ambit of indiscipline.”
BJP councilor Kamlesh Kalra had claimed that after an argument over phone between him and a municipal corporation employee, Jitu Yadav sent 50 to 60 armed men to his house and they misbehaved with his family members, assaulted them. And vandalized the premises.
A video of the incident had also surfaced on social media, in which some people were seen vandalizing the house and abusing the family members. The allegation is also that the group stripped Kalra’s son naked. Kalra has also lodged a complaint with the police.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday ordered action against the miscreants involved in the incident. CM wrote in a post on ‘X’, “The incident of some miscreants entering Kalra ji’s house in Indore and assaulting his family members and misbehaving with them is unfortunate. In this regard, the police have registered an FIR and are examining the CCTV footage and other “By interrogating people, nine accused have been identified, out of which six have been arrested.”
CM Yadav said that the incident also involved misbehavior with a minor, due to which action is also taken under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
