The company has informed that the production of Ather 450X in India began on January 28, 2020 and it has taken the company a little over two years to achieve this historic figure. It is worth noting that in the last two years in the wake of the pandemic, there have been many problems for the makers.

Ather Energy started deliveries of the Ather 450X much later in the year 2020. Ather Energy ramped up production with the Hosur facility that began operations last year, marking a major capacity upgrade for the EV start-up.

The company further enhanced the company’s expansion and sales plans with new state and central subsidies and EV policies. Talking about Ather Energy’s popular electric scooter Ather 450X, it gets a large 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Paired with this battery is an electric motor that delivers 6 kW (up from 5.4 kW) i.e. about 8 bhp and a maximum torque of 26 Nm. This is a full 6 Newton meters more than the old Ather 450. The Ather 450X offers four modes – Eco, Ride, Sport and Warp.

The Warp mode found in this is new and gives you a full 26 Newton meter of acceleration. The company claims that this electric scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds, while it can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 6.5 seconds.

Ather Energy claims that the Ather 450X can deliver a range of up to 85 km on a single charge, but this is only possible in Eco mode. At the same time, this electric scooter can only provide a range of 75 km in ride mode and 50 km in warp mode.

Let us tell you that last month, Ather Energy had signed a Memorandum of Understanding for setting up 1,000 fast charging stations in Karnataka. As part of its expansion strategy, the domestic electric vehicle maker is building fast charging stations for electric vehicles across the country.
