Ather Electric Scooter Sales Sold Hugely 7,435 E-Scooters Sold In September

Ather also inaugurated new Experience Centers last month in four cities, Ranchi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Rajkot. Ather is selling two electric scooters, Ather 450X and Ather 450 Plus, in India. The Ather 450X is available at a price of Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Ather 450 Plus is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The company has produced more than 50,000 units of the 450X scooters from its plant. Talking about the Ather 450X, it is the company’s flagship electric scooter that comes with a lithium-ion battery of 3.24 kWh. This scooter can give a range of 105 km in Eco mode, 85 km in Ride mode and 75 km in Sport mode on full charge.

The electric motor in the scooter churns out 26 Nm of torque with a maximum power of 6.2 kW. This scooter accelerates to 40 km / h in just 3.3 seconds, while its top speed is 80 km / h.

Ather 450Plus

Talking about the Ather 450Plus, it is the company’s entry level electric scooter. In this, the company has used a 2.6kWh lithium-ion battery. The maximum range of this scooter is 85 km which is available in Eco mode.

The company also offers Bluetooth connectivity, call and SMS features in Ather 450X. The company has recently updated the tire pressure monitoring system in the new models of this scooter. This feature is available on the scooter as an accessory for which customers have to pay an additional cost.

At present, Ather is providing more than 350 charging stations in 38 cities. The company plans to install more than 5,000 e-vehicle charging stations in the next three years. Ather Energy is manufacturing electric vehicles in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The company has a capacity to manufacture 1 lakh scooters every year in this factory. Ather Energy is backed by Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler maker. In India, Ather competes with Hero Electric, Okinawa, TVS, Bajaj and Ola Electric.

Ather has partnered with State Bank of India (SBI) to boost its sales and provide easy financing options for electric scooters. As a result, more customers can buy Ather electric scooters without any financial hassle.
