Asus launches its own NFT platform

Taiwanese manufacturer of a wide range of computer equipment Asus announced last week the launch of a new project “Art Blackhole”. The company’s initiative is a new NFT platform based on the Ethereum blockchain, under its new Web3 division, Asus Metaverse Inc. The new platform, powered by Asus cloud computing and AI capabilities, is currently only open to invited artists to post their NFTs.
Collectors can purchase NFT artwork with Taiwanese dollars (TWD, NT$), the spokesperson said. The platform does not support secondary trading, but the secondary market is “launching soon,” according to the company’s website.
Joe Hsi, chief operating officer of Asus said:
“Asus pays close attention to the latest developments in emerging industries, and we are particularly attracted to the potential of the Web3 industry.”
