Apple will be the first in the market to use TSMC chips manufactured using the 3 nm process technology. But initially they will not appear on the iPhone at all.
The source says that SoC M2 Pro for Mac computers will be the first to switch to the new process technology. And only next fall, the A17 Bionic platforms will be released on this technical process, and only the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will get them, which corresponds to recent rumors.
As for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, they will use the A16 Bionic SoC, manufactured using the 4 nm process technology at the same TSMC facilities.
As for the M2 Pro, this SoC is expected initially in the new MacBook Pro, which should be released before the end of this year, but the use of the new platform is unlikely to be limited to this laptop only.
