Apple first began selling refurbished iPhone 13 series smartphones, which debuted in the fall of 2021.
Interestingly, refurbished iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models are now available for purchase, but the standard iPhone 13 is not yet offered in refurbished form. Sales have already begun in Europe, in particular in the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. A US launch is expected soon, they are already mentioned in Apple’s US online store, but so far marked as out of stock.
On average, savings when buying a refurbished smartphone compared to new versions is 15%. For example, in Spain, prices for the iPhone 13 mini start at 689 euros (for the new one – from 809 euros), saving 120 euros. For the iPhone 13 Pro, prices start at 989 euros (for the new one – from 1159 euros), the savings are 170 euros. For the iPhone 13 Pro Max, prices start at 1169 euros (for the new one – from 1379 euros), the savings are 210 euros. You can save a maximum of 280 euros when buying an iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1 TB of memory.
We are talking about used smartphones that Apple has “brought to mind”. Refurbished Apple iPhones are unlocked, SIM free, come with a new battery, case, and box with USB Type-C to Lightning cable. Devices are also covered by Apple’s 1-year limited warranty and AppleCare+ Advanced Service.
Apple promises that its refurbished products are thoroughly tested and cleaned, and in most cases are virtually indistinguishable from brand new devices.
Apple first introduced the iPhone 13 series in September 2021 and now continues to sell the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. At the same time, Apple no longer sells the new iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, which were replaced by the iPhone 14 Pro line.
