Apple has released a major update to its mobile platforms – iOS and iPadOS 15.2, which brings a fairly large list of innovations to iPhones and iPads.
IOS and iPadOS 15 debuted in September and the last major update 15.1 was released just over a month ago.
The update adds an “Application Privacy Report” in Settings, which shows how often applications have accessed location, photo, camera, microphone, contacts, and more over the past seven days. The report can also check the network activity of applications.
The “Digital inheritance” function has also become available in the Apple ID section – it allows you to select people who will be able to access your iCloud account and personal data in the event of a user’s death.
A new low-cost Apple Music subscription option, the so-called Voice Plan, has also become available in a number of countries. It will cost half the price of an individual subscription – $ 5 per month instead of 10. At the same time, it provides access to songs, playlists and radio stations using the voice assistant Siri.
Now there is a “Hide e-mail” function in the “Mail” application for iCloud + subscribers. It can be used to create unique, random email addresses. Also, Find My can determine the location of the iPhone for five hours when the device is in Eco mode. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have a macro control option to switch to an ultra-wide angle lens for macro photography and video. And these are not all innovations.
