5G can now be accessed on eligible iPhone models in India

New Delhi. Apple has released the iOS 16.2 update for all supported iPhone models worldwide. Support for the much-awaited 5G connectivity has been released with the iOS 16.2 update in India. That is, with the iOS 16.2 update, all eligible iPhone users in India will be able to access 5G service on their devices. However, it is also necessary to have 5G connectivity in the users’ city.
Let us tell you that some time ago Apple had enabled 5G connectivity for select iPhone users in the iOS 16 update in beta. Now Apple has officially released 5G connectivity for supported iPhone models.
According to a report by news agency IANS, Apple has worked closely with carrier partners in India to provide the best 5G experience to iPhone users. With this, support for 5G on iPhone now extends to over 250 carrier partners in over 70 markets around the world.

As far as 5G connectivity is concerned, currently only Jio and Airtel are providing 5G services in India. Both the telecom companies are offering their 5G services at the price of 4G. Both the companies have said that 5G plans will be launched after the expansion of the network. At present, a minimum recharge of Rs 239 will be required to use 5G in Jio.
