Apple plans to make these iPod models obsolete this month: know-more

Apple has already deprecated the 16GB fifth-generation iPod to touch model and plans to add the 32GB and 64GB models to the list later this month.

Apple is likely planning to deprecate some iPod models later this month. The tech giant likes to declare the last iPod nano, some models of the last iPod shuffle and fifth generation iPod touch models “obsolete”.

In a memo sent to authorized service providers, the tech giant said the late 2012 model iPod shuffle will be deprecated on September 30, along with the seventh-generation iPod nano and fifth-generation iPod touch, MacRumors reports.

The tech giant completely discontinued the iPod nano and iPod shuffle in 2017, while the iPod touch was available until earlier this year.

When the iPod touch was discontinued, Apple’s chief marketing officer, Greg Joswiak, said the “spirit of the iPod lives on” in other Apple products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and HomePod mini.
