Apple is playing big gamble not only in India but also in Vietnam, Tim Cook said this big thing

Vietnam has also discussed forming a working group to support Apple’s investment. This group will address various aspects to ensure that Apple encounters no obstacles in its investment endeavors.

The iPhone manufacturing giant, Apple, is diversifying its manufacturing operations beyond China. Consequently, it is increasing its investments not only in India but also in countries like Vietnam. Now, the company’s CEO, Tim Cook, has made a significant commitment to Vietnam.

During his recent visit to Vietnam, Tim Cook met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Additionally, Apple announced a substantial investment in iPhone manufacturing in Vietnam.

Aim to Boost Investment in Suppliers

Apple aims to ramp up its spending to expand its supplier base in this Southeast Asian country. Tim Cook was in Hanoi on Tuesday. Like India, Vietnam is also a major manufacturing hub for Apple outside China.

Vietnam has also discussed establishing a working group to support Tim Cook’s announcement and Apple’s investment. This group will address various aspects to facilitate Apple’s investment process.

Provision of Clean Water to Schools

In a statement, Apple mentioned, “The company will increase spending on its suppliers in Vietnam. Moreover, to drive progress in the country, it will provide clean drinking water to local schools.”

The company has already invested $15.84 billion in Vietnam, providing jobs to approximately 200,000 individuals. Tim Cook arrived in Hanoi on Monday for a two-day visit.

Currently, the company manufactures iPad, AirPods, and Apple Watch in Vietnam. Additionally, suppliers of MacBooks are also investing in Vietnam. Furthermore, iPhone manufacturing outside China is also being carried out in India.
