Apple adds six Chinese companies to supplier list, including Wingtech Technology

At least six new companies from mainland China have been added to the global supplier list, according to Apple’s latest list of suppliers.

New suppliers include Zhongke Sanhuan, Crystal Optoelectronics, Shenzhen Qiande Electronics, Wingtech Technology, Jiangyin Kangrui Forming Technology and Baotou Yingsite Rare Magnetic New Materials.

Chinese company Wingtech Technology specialized in the production of electronic devices last year announced the acquisition of the UK’s largest semiconductor company. Currently, it is one of the world’s leading suppliers of optical modules, and has also received an order to supply lenses for the iPhone.

Earlier, Apple excluded Chinese lens partner OFILM from the supply chain, causing OFILM’s market value to plummet. OFILM then sold 100% of the shares and related equipment to Wingtech Technology.

Wingtech Technology is expanding its product range from consumer mobile phone camera modules to industrial and automotive products. The company is building the most modern and smartest camera module manufacturing plant to further enhance core competitiveness.
