In the Android world, every second device now features a 120Hz display.
The AnTuTu benchmark team has released a “Preference List” — statistics showing the most common specifications found in Android smartphones globally. Based on this data, we get a clear picture of what an average smartphone looks like in 2025.
According to AnTuTu, half of all Android smartphones come with screens measuring 6.7 inches or larger. The most common screen resolutions are 1.5K (37.2%) and 1080p (33.8%). When it comes to refresh rate, 55% of smartphones support 120Hz, while only 23.9% are limited to 60Hz.
Qualcomm is the dominant chipmaker in the Android space, powering 73% of devices with Snapdragon processors. MediaTek comes in second, found in 25% of devices. Almost all smartphones today feature 8-core processors, with only a few models offering 10-core chips.
In terms of RAM, the most common configurations are:

As for software, 67% of smartphones are currently running Android 15. Meanwhile, 13% are still on Android 14, and 6.7% remain on Android 13.
