Anthropic has officially opened its first India office in Bengaluru, marking a major step in its expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. The new facility, located at Embassy Golf Links Business Park, is the company’s second base in APAC after Tokyo.
The Claude AI developer revealed that India is now its second-largest user base, with run-rate revenue doubling since October 2025. Alongside the inauguration, Anthropic announced new partnerships spanning enterprise, education, and agriculture sectors, and confirmed it has started hiring local talent. The company aims to leverage India’s technical expertise and digital infrastructure to scale responsible AI solutions tailored for Indic language users and local industry needs.
