Currently, members of the Windows Insider program have access to the app update in the Dev channel. Microsoft said the latest Notepad update is meant to bring a sense of freshness while leaving the application itself “familiar.”
The main innovation introduced by the company is the emergence of a dark mode. Also, the user interface of the updated Notepad as a whole is intended to be more in line with the visual design of Windows 11. This includes the rounded corners, and the use of Mica material, and so on.
