Enthusiasts of the XDA-Developers portal leaked a series of screenshots of the test version of Google Android 13 to the network. At least four interesting innovations were found in the early assembly compared to the current version of the proprietary mobile OS.
Judging by the images, one of the features of the new operating system will be the ability to set a priority language for each individual application. In other words, the smartphone interface will be able to work in one language, and selected applications – in the one that the user chooses. There will also be a customization of the lock screen – in particular, the clock can be “shrink” to make room for other widgets and notifications.
In addition, Android will implement more precise control over application permissions. Changes will also be made to the “resource saver” function, which optimizes the load on iron depending on the battery charge level.
Finally, the new OS found a mention of extended support for the Bluetooth LE Audio codec, which was presented in September 2021. It offers high sound quality even at low power consumption. The exact date of the presentation of the firmware has not yet been announced. The first test builds of Android 13 are expected to be available to developers in the first half of 2022.
