Americans for the third time in a row failed tests of a hypersonic missile

In the United States, the test launch of an aviation hypersonic missile failed for the third time. It is reported that the missile was never able to leave the launcher under the wing of a B-52H bomber. As Air Force (Air Force) Brigadier General Heath Collins explained, the launch sequence was interrupted due to an unknown issue.

Now the rocket will be returned to the factory to identify the flaws. The military hopes to resume flight tests as soon as possible.

The last unsuccessful launch attempt took place five months ago. Then, however, the Air Force described the test as partially successful. The booster still didn’t work as expected, but the prototype weapon at least separated from the B-52H bomber. The first attempt took place in April 2021.
