According to AMD slides leaked online, 65-watt Ryzen 7000 processors will hit the market on January 10th. They will most likely be presented a little earlier at CES 2023.
We are waiting for three models, the characteristics of which are now known almost completely. The Ryzen 5 7600 will have six cores up to 5.1 GHz and will cost $229. An octa-core Ryzen 7 7700 running up to 5.3GHz will cost $329, while a 12-core Ryzen 9 7900 running at 5.4GHz will cost $429.
Pricing looks good relative to the original Ryzen 7000X prices. The problem is that AMD has already seriously reduced the price of the latter, and now the same Ryzen 5 7600X costs $ 249, that is, the difference with the Ryzen 5 7600 will be only $ 20. In other cases, the difference will be 20 and 44 dollars, that is, it is at least somewhat significant only in the case of the Ryzen 9 7900.
According to AMD, the 65W Ryzen 9 7900 will be significantly faster than the 125W Ryzen 9 5900X.
