AMD going back to ATI roots? The company’s new flagship graphics card may be called the Radeon RX 7900 XTX

It seems that AMD may slightly revise the principles of naming its video cards, returning to an already forgotten approach.

The Videocardz resource says that the new flagship AMD graphics card will not be called the Radeon RX 7950 XT, but the Radeon RX 7900 XTX.

The company has not used this designation for a very long time: the latest model was the Radeon X1900 XTX, and then there was still ATI, which was bought by AMD just in the year of the release of the agreed video card.

In fact, there have already been rumors that AMD will release the RX 6900 XTX, but the RX 6950 XT came out instead. That being said, the RX 7950 XT name could also be used by AMD, but it will be about updating the RX 7000 line sometime in the future with V-Cache technology.

Recall that the announcement of a new generation of video cards will take place on November 3, so we will soon find out how everything will actually be.
