AMD beats Intel on all fronts. AMD already occupies almost a quarter of the server processor market, taking almost a third of the total revenue.

According to data from analysts Mercury Research, in the fourth quarter of last year the company AMD was able to significantly increase its share in the processor market.

Overall on the CPU market in quantitative terms the company now occupies 20,2% against 17,1% the year before. In monetary terms AMD’s share grew from 13,3% to 15,4%.

In the desktop segment AMD showed the lowest growth: at 1,2 percentage points, up to 19,8%. In monetary terms the growth was approximately the same: by 1,3 pp., up to 15,9%.

AMD growth was stronger in the mobile segment. The company’s share in quantitative expression has already grown by 3,9 p.p., making up 20,3%, and in monetary expression it has reached 15%.

Well, AMD shows itself most strongly in the server segment, where the company’s share has been actively growing for the first year. Now AMD occupies 23,1% in quantitative terms, and in monetary terms it is 31,1%! This corresponds to an increase of 5,5 and 4 p.p.
