The Ryzen 7 5800X3D has just hit the market, and all stocks are already sold out. At least in the USA.
On the American market, sales started yesterday, and today none of the major retail stores have these CPUs.
Given the specificity of the processor and not the lowest price of $450, the situation is clearly due to the small volume of the first batch. However, the demand was clearly significant, as yesterday the Ryzen 7 5800X3D managed to climb into the top five best-selling processors on Amazon.
It is also worth noting that there are processors for sale in Europe. For a novelty, they ask for a minimum of 490 euros. On the other hand, there are few offers, and some have a very large margin.
Recall that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is a unique CPU, as it has an additional 3D V-Cache chip with a capacity of 64 MB (a kind of third-level cache expander). Thanks to this feature, the processor performs well in games, performing at the level of the Core i9-12900K / KS, and sometimes outperforming them by 10-20%.
