Toyota has unveiled the new 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross in Indonesia, which has nothing to do with the car of the same name presented in Europe.
This Toyota Yaris Cross is designed for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and other countries.
The car is built on the Daihatsu DNGA modular platform, which is a cheaper version of the proprietary TNGA architecture. The car received a body length of 4310 mm with a wheelbase of 2620 mm.
The base version of the Toyota Yaris Cross 2023 received a 1.5-liter engine with 106 hp. and variator. A hybrid is also available, which includes a 91-horsepower petrol engine and an 80-horsepower electric motor. Battery specifications and power reserve are not specified.
The interior of the car was not shown, but it was promised that the diagonal of the main screen will be 10.1 inches, and the digital instrument panel will have a diagonal of 7 inches.
According to company representatives, four full suitcases can be placed in the trunk.
Sales start date and prices will be announced later.
