Akai webOS Smart Ultra-HD TV has been launched in India with sizes ranging from 32 to 55 inches and resolutions from HD to Ultra-HD. The key feature of the TV range is its software, under which LG’s webOS operating system powers these new TVs from Akai India. The company has introduced Magic Remote with the new TV range, which makes it very easy to navigate the user interface. The remote has native support for major streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Disney+ Hotstar.

so far only ‘Akai webOS Smart TV’ The 55-inch model of the range has price information. It comes with Ultra-HD resolution and has been priced at Rs 39,990. The prices of the rest of the TV sizes are yet to be announced. These include 32-inch, 43-inch and 50-inch TVs. Information about when these TVs will be available is yet to be found. Akai India has said that EMI options starting at Rs 3999 will be available on Bajaj Finance, Pinlabs and Kotak Bank.

As we mentioned, these TVs will be available in sizes from 32 inches to 55 inches. The 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch TVs are said to have Ultra-HD (3840×2160-pixel) LED screens, while the 32-inch variants will have HD resolution screens. Ultra-HD TVs support high dynamic range content up to HDR 10 and HLG formats.
These TVs run on the webOS operating system, which is developed by LG and is used in LG TVs all over the world. This operating system supports popular apps and streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and Apple TV. A ‘Magic Remote’ is also included with the TV, which enables a wave-and-point cursor to navigate the interface. For voice assistant, these TVs have the support of Amazon’s Alexa. These TVs also support Dolby Audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 and screen mirroring options. There is 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal storage for apps and app data.
