New Delhi: In December last year, Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea’s prepaid plans were up 25 per cent. Now Airtel Has said that the company will make its plans more expensive in 2022 as well. Airtel is trying to raise the average revenue per user (ARPU) to Rs 200. In December last year, Airtel also started raising rates. Airtel’s ARPU was Rs 163 in October-December 2021, down one per cent year-on-year. Gopal Vitthal, MD & CEO, Bharti Airtel said, “We expect a hike in 2022. It is unlikely to happen in the next 3-4 months and we will not look back to lead in recent times. “We expect our APRU to reach Rs 200 soon and Rs 300 in the next few years,” he said.

Bharti Airtel’s consolidated revenue grew 12.6 per cent to Rs 29,897 crore in the December 2020 quarter from Rs 26,518 crore
