While talking to the media during the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, Elon Musk said that AI can contest the US Presidential elections in 2032. This is the world’s largest award for advancement in fundamental physics, mathematics and life sciences.

The media asked Musk who could win the US presidential election in 2024? Musk laughed and asked himself, “Who do you think will win the White House election in 2032, what kind of AI? Transformer or Diffusion?”
AI will be smarter than humans
Last year, while speaking on the impact of AI in elections, Musk had said that if AI becomes smart then it can weaken democracy. About a week ago, Musk had said on X Space (formerly Twitter) that in 2026, AI can be smarter than humans. He also said that there has been a disruption in technology due to power supply.

Moving ahead with AI, work is now being done on Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). This technology makes AI smarter than a smart human being. Musk believes that this capability can be achieved within the next year or two. On the development of AGI, Musk says that due to shortage of chips, there has been a hindrance in the work of xAI’s Grok 2.
Elon Musk has fielded Grok to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Recently the company has also released Grok-1.5 Vision Preview. This is the first generation multimodal model. It will be presented to testers soon. The special thing is that it will be able to easily process visual information like documents, diagrams, charts, screenshots and photographs.
Apart from this, the company has improved the reasoning and context length of Grok-1.5 to 1.28 lakh tokens. This is 16 times more than the previous context window. It will be introduced on X soon. The performance of Grok-1.5 has been improved in coding and math.
X banned more than 2 lakh accounts
Elon Musk’s company has taken strict steps to keep X clean. In March 2024, X has banned more than two lakh accounts. These accounts were promoting child exploitation and terrorism. The company has published the monthly report under India’s Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
The company took action on 5,158 complaints received on the basis of India’s complaint redressal system. This report contains data from February 26 to March 25, 2024.
