Aeroflot promises not to repair engines in garages

Aeroflot intends to achieve “strengthening import independence”, however, the safety of passengers is always a priority, so the company will maintain high safety standards in accordance with their recognized parameters. Andrey Semenov, the first deputy general director of the production company, spoke about this.

According to him, Aeroflot intends to improve operational processes at A-Technics (an aircraft maintenance and repair provider, part of the Aeroflot group) and turn it into an organization that would serve not only the group’s aircraft, but also external customers. To do this, the company intends to develop competencies in the field of “strengthening import independence”.

Despite the geopolitical situation and the associated challenges for the aviation industry, safety always remains our top priority. If, as a result of risk management, we see that some aspects of the activity can lead to a decrease in the level of flight safety, we will look for other solutions. We will definitely not repair engines in garages“, he stressed.

Aeroflot Deputy General Director also noted that at present the main task for the company is the centralization of process management and the consolidation of resources. “In other words, the structure of the TsUP will be revived [Центр управления полетами]. This will allow the departments of the operating unit to set a common task and work together for one result.”, Semyonov said.
