Today is a big day for Adani Group. Adani Group and short seller firm will hear Public Interest Litigations (PILs) seeking probe into the Hindenburg Report matter and SEBI’s plea for extension of time to submit the report.
The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on Sebi’s plea seeking extension of six months to complete the probe into the Hindenburg Research report.
Due to paucity of time, the Supreme Court could not hear the petition of market regulator SEBI (SEBI) and other public interest litigations on Tuesday, May 16.
Explain that by filing a petition in the Supreme Court, SEBI has asked for an additional time of 6 months to complete the investigation of Adani Group. Now this case will start on Wednesday 17th May.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the SC that SEBI was seeking extension of time to conduct the probe and six months were needed to arrive at a conclusion.
Earlier, a bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dr Dhananjay Yashwant Chadrachud and Justices PS Narasimha and JB Pardiwala adjourned the matter.
