Huawei has launched international sales of its affordable Freebuds 5i wireless headphones. They originally debuted in China in June.
In the Chinese market Freebuds 5i are offered for 75 dollars, and in Europe they will cost 100 euros. The novelty is significantly improved compared to its predecessor, FreeBuds 4i (review), offering extended battery life, reduced weight, improved sound, and active noise cancellation (up to 42 dB).

The FreeBuds 5i charging case weighs 34 grams and the earbuds weigh 4.6 grams each. Despite the weight reduced by 18%, the battery capacity increased to 410 mAh. The battery life is 28 hours, including the case. The manufacturer claims that these are the cheapest headphones in the world that have been certified by Hi-Res Audio.
