BYD unveiled the YangWang U9 electric supercar at the end of a press conference where the manufacturer announced a hardcore SUV YangWang U8.
BYD clarified that not only SUVs, but also other premium cars will be produced under the YangWang brand. This car, like all other YangWang cars, will use Yisifang technology, which involves the use of four electric motors on each wheel.
Representatives of the company stated that they used the design language “Gates of Time and Space”. The focus is not only on speed, but also on safety and comfort, as the BYD development team has developed an “extremely safe body structure.”
YangWang U9 will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2 seconds, but other details have not yet been announced.
No price has been announced, but BYD has listed it as a “million yuan” supercar, so the price should be around $145,000.
