A well-known antivirus caught in the automatic installation of mining programs It is considered disgusting

Antivirus software company Norton has been criticized for adding hard-to-remove cryptocurrency mining software called Norton Crypto to its Norton 360 antivirus suite.
The company announced the mining tool back in June. It was promoted as an easy way to use the remaining computing power to mine Ethereum. This feature only works with powerful graphics cards.

Of course, Norton also takes 15% of the fees from the received cryptocurrency, and also has full control over its customers’ cryptocurrency wallets. Netizens were outraged by this feature. One security researcher stated that “this is disgusting, rude and suicidal for the brand.”

While Norton claims that Norton Crypto will only mine with the user’s permission, this feature is automatically installed on systems as pointed out by Twitter user Maxius. It is noted that there is no way to prevent installation on the system.
