After the global exodus of foreign brands from the Russian car market last year, finding a mid-size sedan (as opposed to crossovers) has become a big problem. But with the development of parallel imports, the situation began to improve. One of the latest innovations on the market in this segment is the GAC Trumpchi Empow.
The dimensions of the Chinese sedan are 4700 x 1850 x 1432 mm, the wheelbase is 2736 mm. That is, it is comparable in size to the Hyundai Elantra and Volkswagen Jetta.
Even the base version of the GAC Trumpchi Empow is quite powerful, using a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with 177 hp. It is paired with a 7-speed “robot”. Up to 100 km / h, such a sedan accelerates in 6.95 seconds. One of the dealers also offers a hybrid version of the sedan with a 238 hp power plant.
The GAC Trumpchi Empow features two 10.25-inch screens, push-button start, a sunroof, power seats, adaptive cruise control and an automatic parking system.
What are the prices? The gasoline version is offered for 2.6 million rubles (moreover, the car is already in Russia, there is no need to wait for delivery), the hybrid is 500 thousand rubles more expensive.
