While Nvidia prepares to unveil the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, EVGA is gearing up for the RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin. As a reminder, Kingpin is the company’s line of top 3D cards aimed at overclocking enthusiasts.
While there are few details about the new product, the first data is still impressive. As reported, the adapter will receive two 12-pin power connectors at once. This means that in theory, the card can supply up to 1275 W of power (including the PCIe slot)!
In comparison, the three 8-pin connectors that are commonly used for very high performance versions are only capable of delivering up to 525 watts. Whether the new EVGA card really needs two new connectors at once is unclear, but we can say for sure that overclockers will not have any problems in terms of power reserve.
