Google has shared its new developments. The pilot project shows how notifications can be “imperceptibly” and unobtrusively presented to the user – with the help of a light knock, a breeze, and even moving shadows.
As planned, such gadgets are designed to help you stay in the know without a sound signal and turning on the smartphone screen. Approximately the same as a person interacts with the ordinary surrounding world.
The short video demonstrates six concepts from the Little Signals collection: Air (Air), Button (Button), Movement (Movement), Rhythm (Rhythm), Shadow (Shadow) and Tap (Knock) – how devices can look and work. A detailed description is given at project website.
