“The new Chinese sedan Kaiyi E5, the production of which started at the Kaliningrad Avtotor, will cost about 1 million rubles“, – reported in the Telegram channel of RIA Novosti with reference to the company’s statement.
And TASS quotes Evgeny Petukhov, senior vice president of Avtotor Holding: “For each buyer, a complete set is expected – for a retail consumer one complete set, for a taxi – another, for carsharing – a third. Each client has its own program of acquisition, support and stimulation of demand. Therefore, the price can start, let’s say, from 1 million rubles and lower, and, in fact, higher. At a cost slightly higher than the top-end Granta and significantly lower than Vesta, Kaiyi E5 can become a hit in Russia. The main thing is that the price really starts at the mark of a million rubles. Recall that official sales of the car should begin soon – in the current quarter.
