A major Russian dealer plans to bring the Kia K5 sedan from China to the country in late January or early February. Previously, K5 under the name Optima was sold in Russia, but now a sedan from China will act as an alternative to it. Moreover, it has an advantage over both Korean and Russian Optima – it is larger: the dimensions are 4980 x 1860 x 1445 mm, and the distance between the wheels is an impressive 2900 mm.
The sedan is not only big, but also powerful: the dealer relied on the top version with a 240-horsepower 2.0-liter engine – it is combined with an 8-speed “automatic”. In the basic version, the Chinese Kia K5 has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 170 hp. and 7-speed “robot”.
In the most powerful version of the sedan and the maximum equipment – with two screens with a diagonal of 12.3 inches under a common glass, laminated glass for greater sound insulation, adaptive light, wireless phone charging, various kinds of driving assistants.
At the moment, the powerful Kia K5 is estimated by the dealer at 3.4 million rubles, but by the time the car is delivered to the Russian Federation, the price may change.
