The investigation found that in February-July 2021, a policeman installed two devices in an office building that was not used by anyone, connected them to the power grid and mined cryptocurrency. Already in October, a criminal case was opened against him.
It should be noted that this is not the only such case in Russia. In the summer, for the same reason, a case was opened against the employees of the metro in Kazan. For two months of mining, they spent 352 thousand rubles of electricity.
